EA would like to further develop the Star Wars Jedi series and is currently not engaged in absorptions

During the Electronic ARTS quarterly financial conference, the general director of the company Andrew Wilson asked the company’s plans for the franchise "star Wars".

Wilson boasted "Incredible" Cooperation with Disney and Lucas, and also touched on the theme of the Star Wars Jedi franchise, noting that he would really like this series to continue his existence after the success of Jedi: Survivor.

Yes, today we have nothing to declare, but, you know, we have an incredible partnership with Disney and Lucas. We have achieved incredible success in this partnership as part of the Battlefront, Star Wars Jedi franchises and, of course, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. Our teams constantly think about what new opportunities we could create. Of course, I would like the franchise over time "Jedi" It became even more. This is just an unusual game telling an unusual story. Perhaps we are a little biased, but judging by the reviews of our community and the quality of the product, we believe that this is one of the most significant events in the galaxy "Star Wars" This year, and most likely it will remain a significant part of this galaxy over the years. When we release the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we think that they will become another small impetus for the development of the franchise, and therefore today we have nothing to declare, except that we have incredible relations with Disney. We have achieved incredible success in this partnership, and if we can find new opportunities for the implementation of new impressions, including living services, as part of this partnership, we will study them".

Wilson was also asked if he sees the possibility of further acquisitions and whether the company feels good after the acquisition of Codemasters, Glu Mobile and PlayDemic.

He explained that although the company is constantly looking for opportunities, at the moment it is not engaged in acquisitions.

I think that at the moment we feel very well as a company, have the capabilities, talents, teams and IP, and also have a very clear strategy and an even more clear development plan for IP and platforms. Nevertheless, I think that we are always looking for excellent opportunities for even greater growth and entertainment of even more people with the help of excellent games, impressions and IP, and we will continue to work and study them for a long time. But now we are not actively doing this.
