Gerda: A Flame in Winter received the new DLC Liva’s Story

Don’t Nod and Bird Island (previously Portaplay) announced and released Liva’s Story, DLC for Gerda: A Flame In Winter 2022. A new Modstand Bundle edition is also supplied with this DLC, which includes both the main game Gerda: A Flame in Winter and DLC Liva’s Story. Both the main game and the kit are available on Nintendo Switch and Steam.

The Modstand Bundle set was created to demonstrate the experience of two very different women during the Second World War and tell the stories of two types: about Gerda and Live. Gerda led a calm life of a nurse, and she pushed her to participate in the resistance of the arrest of the Gestapo of her husband Anders. She is compassionate and tries to avoid conflicts where it is possible. On the other hand, Leba was a member of the resistance for some time. After an unsuccessful mission, her team is regrouped in Tinglev, where she will have to get up and lead them to the next battle.

Liva’s Story offers players an alternative view of the war through the eyes of another woman, the leader of the resistance. Desperate and discouraged after an unsuccessful mission, the Lyva team must regroup, paste it and strike at the enemy again, using sabotage, penetration, espionage and even murder. Unlike Gerda’s empathic approach, Leba is not afraid of violence and often balances on a thin line between justice and revenge. Players will have to carefully balance her rage in relation to the enemy, a duty in relation to her mission and country and care for her teammates.

Liva’s Story events take place a few weeks before Anders’ arrest and Gerda’s journey began to save him. Each story is a separate narrative, and each of them sheds light on another, so players can pass them in any order.

To celebrate Liva’s Story and Modstand Bundle, the free demo version of Gerda is available on Steam: A Flame in Winter (not including loaded content).
