The game Red Dead Redemption was released more than ten years ago, but recently it received a reprint on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch platforms.
As expected, after the release of Red Dead Redemption, it became the best -selling game on PS4 and seemed to overtake many popular games last month. According to PlayStation, it was one of the most downloaded games for PS4 in several regions.
PlayStation Blog announced a list of the most downloaded Games of Augustus, and the game of ten years ago from Rockstar Games took an honorable place in this list in several regions.
In Europe, Red Dead Redemption took second place in terms of downloads last month, losing only Minecraft. In the USA and Canada, she sank to third place, while Minecraft in this part of the world retained its leadership.
It should be noted that the game was released on August 17. This means that compared to most other games presented on this list, it was available for less than half of August. Therefore, such a result can be considered impressive.

The initial announcement was perceived poorly. The trailer shown by Rockstar Games caused a lot of hostile reviews, since fans were disappointed with the lack of significant updates for the game.
In the past, the publisher claimed that remasters are not worth investment, but the last release shows that Take-Two is changing its approach. Thus, in the catalog of classic games Take-Two, even more ports and remasters may appear.
In addition to a recent reprint, Take-Two, apparently, has several more plans for IP. In an interview, Strauss said that Red Dead Redemption has sufficient attractiveness to exist for many years, which may hint at the third game after GTA 6.
